Customer service was awesome and helped to quickly support me when I needed to upgrade to a larger crate. Not your average dog crate. Very pleased. And the pup loves it.

Where in the House Should You Put Your Dog’s Bed?

Where in the House Should You Put Your Dog’s Bed?

Living with a dog can be extremely rewarding and so much fun. It’s no secret that you have to find space to welcome a dog into your home, but where should you actually put their stuff? Many pet owners dedicate an entire room to their pet’s stuff. However, that’s not always possible for some people. Your dog deserves a comfortable place to sleep. Follow along to learn where you should put your dog’s bed in your house.

Somewhere Quiet

You probably wouldn’t want to sleep in a noisy area, and your dog doesn’t either. That said, spots near exterior doors aren’t the best choice for your pup’s bed. The traffic noise and other outside distractions might disrupt their sleep or keep them up and alert throughout the night. Consider putting their bed somewhere quiet, such as a bedroom or living room.

Pro Tip

Get your pup more than one bed so that they can have multiple places to lounge throughout the house.

Close to the Family

Many dogs don’t want to lay in their beds because they feel too far away from their owners. If you put their bed in a separate room, they might follow you around rather than lie down because they want to be near you. With that in mind, keeping their bed close to you or another family member is a great way to help your pup feel comfortable and secure as they sleep or relax. While you don’t have to have a bed in every room, you can move their bed so that it’s closer to you throughout the day.

Where They Choose

Even though you might decide on the best place to put your dog’s bed, they may choose another spot. In many cases, dogs lay on the floor rather than their bed because they don’t want to lay in the area you pick. Luckily, your pup might lay on their bed if you move it to their favorite spot in the house. Although you might want them to stay in their own room, many furry friends prefer sleeping on the floor in your bedroom. So consider moving their bed to your room to make them more comfortable.

Out of the Way

There’s nothing worse than tripping over your dog or their stuff throughout your daily tasks, but it’s possible unless you move these things out of your way. While you might want to put your pup in the middle of high-traffic areas, you should consider placing their bed against a wall or in a corner. They may feel more secure sleeping there.

Now that you know where you should put your dog’s bed in your house, you might also want a dog bed carrier to make it easier and more comfortable for them in the car. No matter where they are, your dog deserves to have a comfortable spot to lie down and drift off to sleep.
